A search for an RTX 5060 usually mixes three different cards together. The RTX 5060 comes with 8GB of memory. The RTX 5060 Ti comes in 8GB and 16GB versions. The names are close enough that it is easy to sort the whole page by price and compare products from two performance tiers as if they were the same card.
Start with the GPU and memory capacity. Cooler size and brand come after that.
RTX 5060, 5060 Ti 8GB and 5060 Ti 16GB
The RTX 5060 has 3,840 CUDA cores, a 2.50GHz boost clock and a 145W total graphics power rating. The RTX 5060 Ti raises those figures to 4,608 CUDA cores, 2.57GHz and 180W. All three versions use a 128-bit GDDR7 memory interface. The 8GB and 16GB versions of the 5060 Ti use the same GPU specification.[C1]
That gives the 5060 Ti 20 percent more CUDA cores than the 5060. The 16GB Ti does not add more processing cores over the 8GB Ti. Its extra cost buys memory capacity. When a game fits comfortably inside 8GB, the two Ti cards perform similarly. The 16GB model pulls away when high-resolution textures, ray tracing and other assets push memory use beyond 8GB.
Tom's Hardware tested 11 rasterized games on the same Ryzen 7 9800X3D system in 2026, using native resolution with no DLSS, FSR or frame generation. At 1080p Ultra, the RTX 5060, 5060 Ti 8GB and 5060 Ti 16GB averaged 88.5, 100.4 and 105.2 fps. At 1440p Ultra, they averaged 59.8, 68.6 and 73.4 fps.[C2]
The 5060 Ti 16GB was therefore about 19 percent faster than the 5060 at 1080p and 23 percent faster at 1440p. The two Ti versions were separated by only 5 percent and 7 percent at those resolutions. The 4K Ultra result changed sharply. The 16GB Ti averaged 40.2 fps while the 8GB Ti managed 28.1 fps.[C2] Neither result makes this a strong native-4K class of GPU, but the drop shows what happens when 8GB becomes the limiting factor. Upscaling can reduce the internal rendering resolution and frame generation can increase displayed frame rate. Neither feature adds VRAM.
The RTX 5060 suits 1080p esports, online games and single-player games at sensible quality settings. The 5060 Ti 16GB is the cleaner choice for regular 1440p use, high texture settings and ray tracing. The 8GB Ti sits between them. It makes the most sense when its price is much closer to the 5060 than the 16GB Ti.
What two fans and three fans change
Switching board partners while keeping the same GPU rarely moves performance into another tier. The money goes into the heatsink, fan speed, noise, dimensions, finish, lighting and support.
Gigabyte's two-fan RTX 5060 WINDFORCE OC measures 199 x 116 x 40mm and runs at 2,512MHz. Its three-fan RTX 5060 GAMING OC is 281mm long and runs at 2,595MHz. Both have 3,840 CUDA cores, 8GB of 28Gbps GDDR7, one 8-pin power connector and a 550W power-supply recommendation.[C5][C6]
The GAMING OC is 82mm longer and adds a third fan, providing more heatsink area and more room to hold a given temperature at lower fan speeds. Its published clock is only 83MHz higher, a difference of roughly 3.3 percent. A meaningful price premium should therefore be judged mainly on acoustics, temperature and build rather than the small factory overclock.
A short two-fan card can still be thick. The ASUS Dual RTX 5060 is 228mm long and 50mm thick, occupying 2.5 slots. ASUS lists a 2,535MHz default boost clock and a 2,565MHz OC mode.[C7] Compact cases need checks in all three dimensions. A card can clear the front of the case while blocking a lower expansion slot or leaving too little space between its power plug and the side panel.
Colorful's Battle-Ax RTX 5060 DUO 8GB measures 231 x 120 x 48.9mm. It is rated at 145W, uses one 8-pin connector and carries a 550W power-supply recommendation.[C3] The three-fan iGame RTX 5060 Ti Ultra W OC 16GB measures 300.5 x 120 x 50mm, weighs 0.97kg and reaches a 2,632MHz boost in its one-key overclock mode. Colorful rates it at 180W and recommends a 600W power supply.[C4] The Battle-Ax is easier to fit into a tight build. The longer iGame needs enough front clearance and may benefit from a GPU support bracket.
Product families matter more than the logo
Colorful, Gigabyte, ASUS, MSI, Galax and Zotac all sell several RTX 5060 board families in China. Names such as Battle-Ax, WINDFORCE, Dual and Ventus usually identify price-focused or compact models. iGame Ultra, GAMING OC, TUF, Gaming Trio, Xingyao and Apocalypse models tend to add a larger cooler, lighting, a white finish or a higher factory clock. These names are useful shortcuts, but the complete model number is what identifies the actual card. V2, V3 and OC revisions can change the cooler and physical dimensions within one family.
Three fans have a limited effect on gaming performance when the GPU and memory are unchanged. Buyers on a fixed budget should choose the GPU tier and memory capacity first. Once those are settled, noise, size, appearance and support can decide the exact board.
Warranty also depends on the sales channel and region. Gigabyte's mainland China policy gives genuine boxed retail graphics cards a three-year nationwide warranty that includes the fans when the buyer has valid proof of purchase. Without that proof, the period is calculated from the manufacturing date, and the policy lists exclusions for special models and damage caused by improper use.[C8] Other brands may use different terms for direct service and retailer-managed returns. Keep the invoice or electronic order and make sure the serial-number label is intact.
Choosing for your system
For a compact 1080p build, start with a shorter RTX 5060. Its 145W rating also makes it easier to reuse a suitable 550W power supply. Noise-sensitive buyers should look for measured load noise, GPU temperature and zero-RPM behavior in reviews. Fan count is only a first filter.
For regular 1440p gaming, high-resolution textures and ray tracing, start with the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB. The 8GB Ti has useful extra GPU performance over the 5060, but its memory capacity gives it less room in demanding new games.
Measure the case before ordering. Record its graphics-card length limit, available slots and clearance between the side panel and power connector, then subtract the space occupied by front fans or a radiator. Put the full model number, dimensions, connector, weight and local warranty beside each candidate. That makes it much easier to decide whether a third fan, white shroud or small factory overclock earns its price premium.
